After passing my level 3 dog grooming course and cat grooming course well over a year ago . I am so grateful how wonderful the team are. The after care and support that I have been given from all the team and the effort they have gone to to help me is just fantastic even after a crazy busy supergroom these guys were only to happy to help. Always a warm welcome when I have seen the girls elsewhere and they seem to remember every individual person. I can’t recommended these guys enough. I recently completed the Level Three Dog Grooming Course. Kelly, Lisa and Lucy were utterly professional, friendly and always approachable and were genuinely positive in the way they taught, allowing each of us to develop our own technique and style. And the support from the office team was fantastic – they were always so quick to respond with any queries I had. It was invaluable to spend time in what is clearly a thriving business, enabling us to experience dealing with clients and their dogs, and witnessing new trends and styles in dog grooming. The course was so enjoyable, in a really relaxed, clean and safe environment and the dogs provided, covered almost every breed and personality, so it gave us all a really thorough grounding in what to expect in the professional grooming salon. My skills and confidence grew during the course because of the positive way in which we were taught – and confirmed to me that this is the career I want to follow. I would highly recommend this course for anyone wanting to take up professional dog grooming and can’t praise Kelly, Lisa and Lucy enough. I recently completed a cat grooming course at KD Grooming Studio in order to achieve the PIF competence in cat grooming certificate. I had also completed some training with another organisation and I cannot stress enough how professional, structured and supportive the course at KD grooming was. Kelly and Tina are both excellent teachers, who share their knowledge and experience with clarity, patience and a great sense of fun. I found both Kelly and Tina very consultative and happy to work at my pace, providing a great range of cats to work on for the specific stage we were at. I have just successfully completed my 20 day cat grooming course and want to say a huge thank you to everyone at KD. The course was very comprehensive and professionally managed. From being a total novice, I now feel confident in myself and my skills to go forward and start my new business. They created an excellent learning environment, really encouraged questions and had a absolute desire for me to succeed. I completed the 20 day cat grooming course in Sept/Oct this year and I have a challenging, however very enjoyable time. The audio is very relaxed, however professional at the same time. Kelly, Tina and the team were great. All very knowledgeable, patient and easy going. I would recommend KD Grooming as a place to learn. I very much hope to return to complete the dog grooming course also. Here’s to a new career…..had my first paying customer today! Thanks Kelly, Tina and all Team KD!

I had been wanting to change to a career which involved working with animals and I thought that cat grooming might be it. As soon as I had done the taster days I knew that it was. I really enjoyed the course. There is a lovely friendly and positive atmosphere at the salon. The teaching is excellent and all of the staff are friendly and helpful. You are given plenty of practical experience, so that gradually your confidence builds and you find that you can do it! I would definitely recommend the course to anybody wondering about becoming a cat groomer.

I went on a free taster day last Wednesday and I had the best day ever! Kelly and the girls were so welcoming and made me feel totally at home. A very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I loved seeing all the gorgeous dogs and was free to ask as many questions as I liked. Everyone answered my questions in amazing detail and were very patient. I didn’t want to leave! Thank you all so much. I will definitely be back soon!

I have just finished the dog and cat grooming course and I must say I really enjoyed it. Not only was the course interesting but I found that Kelly and her team were very helpful and fun to work with. The environment was comfortable and friendly. It felt like home away from home 🙂 … Kelly and her team are both very talented and professional. I would recommend the Studio to anyone be it people wishing to learn grooming as well as people who would want their pets to be pampered. 🙂

Just completed the 25 day course working towards the C&G Level 3 qualification with Kelly and “Team KD” . What a fantastic time I have had, Kelly and the girls are all so lovely and helpful and really really know their stuff giving freely of their experience, advice and skills. From day one I was encouraged to get stuck in but allowed to work and develop at my own pace. Never did I feel out of my depth and Kelly was always ready to answer questions about grooming, equipment and how we might set things up in our home “salon”. The time I spent at KD Grooming Studios has been really special and fun, the best bit though is that I don’t feel it ends here. I am confident that I can turn to the team with any future questions and I have already booked onto a seminar on 1st August. Thank you Kelly, Lucy, Lisa and Jodie for your patience, helpfulness and friendliness making me feel like one of the “family”.

I have just done a 2 day course at Kelly’s studio, on hand stripping my lakeland terriers, have been doing it my self for past five or so years but have never known how to do it properly. But after 2 days with Kelly I am finding it much easier now, she explained everything in such a way that it was easy to learn, found her a very good teacher, would recommend Kelly to any one who wants to learn to groom, or to have their dog groomed, Many thank to all , Terry

I have just completed my Level 3 City and guilds introductory diploma with Kelly and the team and i couldn’t fault it. I have learnt so much in such a short space of time. All the team are happy to help with any question, little or large and are always their to support you and give you confidence! From my first ‘visit’ at KD, I knew this was the place for me to begin my training, all the staff were warm and welcoming and I was able to chat to other students to gain more information. I didn’t know what to expect, but was put at ease by everyone, learning the basics; health & safety, equipment use, bathing, drying on the first day. Then from the second day grooming a model dog, in stages throughout the day with lots of support and tuition. The advice, knowledge and enthusiasm I received from Kelly on a daily basis made me feel confident to give everything a go and believe that I could. Her love of dogs and grooming comes across in her teaching. She has an excellent team around her, who all give 100% to the dogs they groom, their safety and wellbeing is always paramount. I had to write immediately to express our gratitude and sheer joy at the marvellous job Kelly did on our “tricky” darling terrier…Not only does she look amazing, she’s completely relaxed and stress-free (as am I now!!) When Kelly told us she had been no trouble during the grooming session, we could hardly believe it (she’s like a bucking bronco at home!) so Kelly showed us a short film of our girl having her beard trimmed & she was clearly enjoying herself!!! I have just completed 35 days of training with Kelly and have now started my own business. I truly believe Kelly has given me a gift in the confidence, solid knowledge base and high standards that I now have in every aspect of dog grooming. This is together with instilling an interest in competitive grooming (albeit as a spectator at the moment!) and a desire to continually try to improve. I just completed 30 challenging, educational and fun days with both you and Jodie. I came to you to learn how to groom and I’ve come away with so much more. When I first started I have to admit that I was quite nervous. This was a totally new career for me and I was very unsure of myself. Within a matter of days you managed to turn things around for me. I quickly understood the basics and thanks to your ongoing encouragement I began to reach for a higher standard – better than I could have imagined. Along the way there were some times where I questioned my abilities but you were always so patient, understanding and a real professional. I was always made to feel like I was the only student in the room and no question seemed trivial. We had so many laughs together with you, Jodie and the other students and that I will miss. I’ll never look at a dog’s paw the same way again as I know that is something you are very particular about!!! I certainly will also miss our daily food talks!!! Seriously though, as a former nurse educator myself working with adults, I have to say that you are a gifted teacher Kelly. You give 100% to all your students and every dog (and cat) that comes into your salon. You have already raised the bar and I know you are going to continue to be a major influence in the grooming industry. As I start my own business, I’m proud to say K.D. Grooming trained me. Thanks Kelly for doing such a great job on Tara yesterday. She’d gotten so many tangles on her tummy I thought there’d be no choice but to completely shave her to be honest, but she came back beautifully groomed, smooth coated, soft and tangle-free. I don’t know how you do it but you do it brilliantly!

I have recently completed a 16 day course in Cat Grooming with Kelly. Kelly was amazing throughout my training and gave me great confidence! She was able to provide me with many skills and increase my knowledge in the field of cat grooming which led to me receiving a distinction in my qualification. Kelly’s support and teaching throughout the course was second to none. Whilst training Kelly was able to provide me with a wide range of different cat breeds and temperaments which provided me with an amazing experience which I will never forget. I completed a 25 day course with Kelly. When I was training she made me feel very relaxed and was very helpful. Kelly supported me throughout the course which I passed. I now attend once a week to gain work experience and enjoy this very much. X

I completed four days training with Kelly as a refresher as I lost my confidence. Kelly gave me my confidence back. Kelly provided one to one training in area’s I felt I needed to improve on, after this these certain area’s I struggled with made sense to me. I felt very relaxed which made it a very pleasent experience for me and the dogs. I would highly recommend Kelly as either a teacher or to groom your dog/cat. You won’t be dissapointed. We recently collected our new rescue dog from Liz at the Somerset& Dorset Animal Rescue Centre. We met the dog a few times there and due to all the rain,mud etc he was a “smelly” and “slightly bedraggled” long haired Border Collie. Thanks to KD Grooming Services we now have a very sweet smelling and nicely clipped Border Collie living with us. We will no doubt be making use of your grooming service as and when we need to titivate him again.

I have just finished my grooming course with Kelly and I miss it already! She is a fantastic groomer who has a brilliant way with animals and I value her opinion highly.
